This compact variety grows to a manageable height of 14-16 inches tall. MINI GALLERY™ ‘Blue Bicolor’ will attract butterflies, hummingbirds and bees in early summer.
MINI GALLERY ‘Blue Bicolor’ is a hybrid of L. polyphyllus, a native species from western North America. It thrives in full sun, but can tolerate partial shade. Plant in well-drained, sandy or loamy soil and water regularly during the first growing season. Once established, Lupines are relatively drought tolerant. Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Deadheading spent flowers may encourage additional blooms, and once flowering ends cut back to the ground to promote healthy growth next season.
