Note: Watershed gardens capture rainwater as it runs off hard surfaces at home, like a roof, sidewalk, or driveway, so it can filter down through healthy soil instead of picking up pollution on its way downstream. Plant this garden in a shallow swale – a depressed area – about 6-8” deep, with sloped edges and a flat bottom, to ensure that you capture water when it rains.
